Michał Heller

Results per page:

Laureat nagrody J. Templetona, członek Papieskiej Akademii Nauk, Obserwatorium Watykańskiego, European Society for the Study of Science and Theology, The Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences, European Physical Society, International Astronomical Union, International Society for General Relativity and Gravitation, International Society for Science and Religion, Polskiej Akademii Umiejętności, Towarzystwa Astronomicznego i Towarzystwa Teologicznego. Prof. Michael Heller (1936), the scholar, cosmologist, philosopher and theologian is able to craft works of art from mathematical equations and scientific theories. Regarded by many great physicists as a genius, he creates his compositions from numbers and formulae rather than stone, bronze, words, paints or sounds. Amongst his many books and academic articles, one may find him in both roles: as the scientific artist and the writer-scholar.

Winner of the Templeton Prize, member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the Vatican Observatory, the European Society for the Study of Science and Theology, the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences, the European Physical Society, the International Astronomical Union, International Society for General Relativity and Gravitation, International Society for Science and Religion, The Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Polish Astronomical Association and the Polish Theological Society. A Knight of the Order of the White Eagle and awarded the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta - the two highest awards that may be made to a civilian in Poland.

Director and founder of the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Krakow.
